You probably know about the Super Bowl, the most exciting sporting event in the United States. The Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals are going head-to-head this year. We are sure to have a blast watching these two teams battle it out, but what makes these teams so good? What makes them the best of the best, and what are each team’s odds of winning the Super Bowl this year?
The Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals are a special team that has been doing incredibly horrible during the past years in the NFL. But out of the darkness, they have made it to the Superbowl against the Rams. According to the NFL, the last time the Bengals made it to the Superbowl was all the way back in 1982, and that was a loss by the 49ers. In the AFC Championship game, the Bengal’s quarterback’s performance was far better than the best quarterback in the entire NFL, Patrick Mahomes. This is surprising because of the fact that the Chiefs have lots of experience and the fact that they had a two-in-a-row streak going to the Superbowl. In that same game, the Bengals broke the record for the biggest comeback in less than 15 minutes. This shows that the Bengals are capable of going to the Superbowl and that they won’t give up. The Bengals are a special team that deserved to be in the Super Bowl.
The Los Angeles Rams
On the other hand, the Rams last Superbowl was in 2019. Way better than the Bengals, but a long shot from the Patriots' most Superbowl entries ever, or the Steelers' most Superbowl wins ever. The Rams have a high expectation of winning this Superbowl from millions of fans in the United States, but will they actually be able to pull it off? In the Rams and 49ers game, in the 4th quarter with under 3 minutes left, the Rams threw an incredible pass to the receiver and made it nearly impossible for the 49ers to go to the Super Bowl. There is no rookie in the Rams who has not played in the NFL. The Bengals' quarterback only has 2 years of experience in the NFL with the Bengals. This makes the Bengals have a difficult time cooperating with each other. The Rams have definitely worked hard to qualify for the Superbowl.
While the Rams have been to the Super bowl once, the Bengals have been there two times. The Rams usually have more first downs than the Bengals, while the Bengals have more touchdowns in the 2021-2022 season. The Bengals have a higher percentage of passing while the Rams have a higher percentage of distance runs. The Bengals have one of the best offenses in the NFL. The injuries are higher for the Rams while the Bengals are also pretty high, but not as high as the Rams, which means more of their players are probably going to be ready to play during the S For defense, the Rams have an average of 88 tackles in the season while the Bengals have 84 tackles in this season. The Bengals have a 10-7 record while the Rams are 12-5. Hitting all these points, who do YOU think will win the Super Bowl? The underdogs, Cincinnati Bengals or the Sky High, Los Angeles Rams?
