The movie Encanto is now streaming on Disney+. The movie Encanto is the story of Mirabel Madrigal and how she lived in a family with “miracles”. Everyone had a miracle but except one person, Mirabel. Since the movie was released, the song “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” has been on the Billboard’s “Hot 100” known as No. 1. This makes it the second highest charting behind another Disney song “A Whole New World” from the movie “Aladdin” in 1992.
Overall, the movie was acceptable because of how Mirabel was inspiring. The ratings for the movie were about 4/5, and I’d say that’s pretty reasonable. Personally, we would’ve gone with 3.5/5. The animation is really nice and fluid, and the general plot is ok at best. The characters developed through Mirabel, like how she ended up fixing her relationship with her sister, Isabel. And the music is definitely a highlight of the movie, and probably part of what made it entertaining. Although, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is the only song that was good. One complaint is that the movie has some pacing issues, like the ending. Besides that complaint, this movie is pretty good to watch when you’re bored or don’t know what to watch. Encanto is also worth checking out because of its visuals. It is quite colorful and happy.
To sum it up, the movie was overall good but there were some things that threw it off like the pacing and plot. The story is PG so all age groups can watch it. The voice acting and animations are great. It's definitely a movie you should watch.
