Nothing Bundt Cakes is a popular bakery with locations around the Bay Area. The bakery was launched in 1977 in Las Vegas. Overtime, there have been about 300 franchises in 38 states and they are also one located in Canada. The bundt cakes of the bakery come in 9 main flavors. Some of these flavors include Red Velvet, Classic Vanilla, and Confetti. During the holiday season, there are limited edition cakes, such as Pumpkin Spice. What makes the budnt cakes at Nothing Bundt Cakes special is the frosting. According to Nothing Bundt Cakes website, Check Out Our Bundtinis, Tiered Cakes & More, “We're famous for the thick frosting petals that adorn each of our cakes. Our signature frosting is made with velvety cream cheese and real butter. For a lighter touch, choose our drizzle frosting.” We will be reviewing a few of our favorite flavors.”
Red Velvet
In our opinion, the red velvet bundt cake is decent but not the best. It has the right amount of sweetness, and the cream goes really well with it. Even though it is Nothing Bundt’s Cake bestseller, we don’t like that the red velvet cake has chocolate chips in it and we think that it is not the best touch, so it would be better off without it. We rate it 3.5/5 however, it would be a good flavor to try out when coming to the Nothing Bundt Cakes bakery.
Classic Vanilla
At first sight, it looks like an ordinary cake you might get at a cake store. However, putting it in your mouth will make it water, it is a very fluffy cake and is very creamy. In addition to that it can be a little too sweet. However, it remains scrumptious, therefore we give it a rating of 5/5. You should definitely try this cake flavor when you come.
Confetti
Confetti is a classic birthday cake baked with sprinkles inside the cake itself. Nothing Bundt Cakes themselves say it's their most celebratory bundle cake. The main part we didn’t like are the number of sprinkles and sugar they put into it. But it's still okay so we rate it 2.5/5. We recommend getting a normal birthday cake instead of a confetti bundt cake.
Pumpkin
During the fall season, Nothing Bundt Cakes sells their limited edition, Pumpkin Spice. This flavor lasts till November 30. We rate this flavor 5/5. It isn’t too bland, and tastes delicious. Sadly it's only available for about a month, so get it while you can!
Sizes and prices
There are 6 different sizes to choose from; bundtinis (bite sized), bundlets (miniature), and 3 different-sized bundt cakes. However, Nothing Bundt Cakes is slightly expensive as 1 bundtlet is $5.25 plus tax. There is an 8”, 10” and a tiered bundt cake. The 10” cake is $39.50 and the tiered cake costs $65.50
Final Thoughts
The bakery is rated a 4.6/5 star on google and has so many positive reviews. The closest Bundt cakes bakery is in Fremont hub and if you are undecided they will give you a sample to figure out what your favorite flavor is. Overall the 9 main flavors and 6 different sizes, add up to being one of the best bakeries we have ever been to and we recommend you go for it.
